C10 PHOTOS

Postby dublin500 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 4:38 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to view a scanworld aquired with our new c10 with the photos taken by the onboard camera.
Has the command changed in Cyclone 7 ? the images are raw and when I select colours from scanner or texture map, nothing happens and the modelspace is remains multi hued.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Paul

Hello,

In the Navigation window in Cyclone open the Scanworld - Images and in the MultiImage folder use the right mouse button and select APPLY MULTIIMAGE. Wait for a while for the process and them you can change to scanner colors.

Thanks for the tip Leonardo,

I did as you suggesed and it took about 17 minutes to apply, a little long I thought and the quality was poor, overexposed in some areas and grainy in others. I think I will be sticking with the 'Nodal Ninja' set up for the moment, the images are far superior and fit very well to the point cloud even though the focal point on the C10 is lower the the SS2.

Again Thanks for you help

Do you recall the setting on the C10 images, and lighting conditions. Did you go default, or play with it? Does this compare at all with what your familiar with.

Try to re set your preference to compute color on import and compute missing normals on import this will help a lot. It will also be much quicker than doing it retospectivly.

As you are also using the NodalNinja you can now buy the C10 stub from there website.

This would be a typical with overhead lighting using Indoor settings with C10 (just to compare in case your getting different results).
